10. What does it mean to be “Essentially Reformed”?

This means “It’s all about Him”. We glory in the initiative of God in all we experience and we live for the glory of God in all we do. Although there are some areas of classic reformed theology that we would not hold to (infant baptism, certain areas of pneumatology and forms of church government) we do delight in the reformers emphasis on the glorious gospel and the doctrines of grace…to be more accurate we would be ‘essentially reformed’ in our soteriology (the doctrine of salvation). We hold passionately to the ‘sola’s’ of reformed theology; we love them and believe them all!
