Why do we gather?
Our lives have been changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and in expressing our heartfelt gratitude and love for the Saviour, we consider the Sunday gathering to be the highlight of our week.
Firstly, we come together with grateful hearts to worship and glorify God. So as we begin the meeting at 11.00am we always do so with 30-35 minutes of contemporary and passionate worship, through song and prayer.
Secondly, we come together to be refreshed by His presence, encouraged by His promises, and transformed by His truth. So it is not only worship that we gather for, but expository preaching. Each message usually lasts for about 40 minutes and invariably, whatever the topic, we always make our way to the Cross.
Thirdly, we come together to enjoy genuine biblical friendships. At the end of the meeting, 12.30pm, we have tea & coffee available in the foyer and the majority of folk just stay and hang-out for a while and enjoy each others company. From a distance the conversations may look no different to the norm but to get close you’d see that folk are caring for one-another through conversation, encouragement, prayer and often much laughter.

The meeting starts at 11.00am every Sunday and you’d be more than welcome any week. You wont be asked to pray or read out loud, and you wont be asked to stand up and embarrass yourself as a visitor. You can come and get fully involved, or quite simply sit at the back and observe, that choice is all yours’, we’d just love you to know that you can come.
What if I have a baby or toddler?
In all that we do you’d be welcome to keep your child in with you, but what most folk do is utilise the foyer and two crèche facilities that we have;
Babies 0-6 months;
In the foyer there are two LCD screens on the wall that receive a live feed through from the main hall all the way through the worship & message. If therefore your baby just needs a little ‘time out’ then this room is for you.
Nursing Mothers Crèche:
This is a ladies only room and has been specifically designed for mothers and babies (ages 6-18 months) as a place where nursing or bottle-feeding can take place in private. The room features comfortable seating, changing tables, high chairs and a place for Mums to freshen up. This crèche is staffed with caring, experienced Mums who are available to help and eager to serve.
Toddler Crèche:
This crèche is fully staffed and kitted out for our toddlers. Fully equipped with loads of stuff for them to do and play with whilst the main hall meeting is going on.
Please also note that all of our workers are fully CRB checked and trained in accordance with our Child Protection Policy. Child safety and care is certainly something that is very important to us at Christchurch.
Is there anything for older children?
If you are planning to visit Christchurch with children aged 3-11 then the great news for you and them is that they will get to be a part of Generations for the morning. We are aware that being in a new environment can be hard for them, but once they’re dropped off at class we’re sure they will be loving it.
