The Case for a Creator is a series of lectures examining atheism and the theory of evolution in the light of recent scientific evidence. The purpose of the lectures is to show that scientific fact and considered reasoning, when approached with an open mind, reveals overwhelming evidence for the existence of God, and creation coming about by “intelligent design”.

For thousands of years… from our earliest days, mankind has believed in the existence of a creator God. However, this absolute belief was brought into question in Victorian times primarily through the theory of evolution as taught by Charles Darwin. If, as Darwin believed, we are the result of a process of time and accidental mutation that began with primordial slime, then it seems clear that we were not created in God’s image… in fact, there probably is no God at all!

What was once a theory, is now universally considered as fact. But is this true? Does faith
in a creator God mean that we have to ignore what seem to be the facts? Or are the facts as they have been presented to us incomplete, or, just plain misleading?

In Darwin’s “The Origin of Species”, he wrote:
“If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.”

Within the framework of these lectures, we will consider what many of the world’s most eminent scientists are advocating: that because of advances within scientific discovery, particularly over the past 25 years; the evidence does point to a breakdown in Darwin’s theory. What’s more, the evidence in recent biology, biochemistry, physics, astronomy and cosmology; as well as a growing understanding of our own consciousness, all leads towards the inevitable conclusion that God exists, and we are His creatures.
